Pregnancy yoga

Stefania's classes were always relaxing and welcoming and I looked forward to them every week! I attended her pregnancy yoga classes and the movements were very gentle and suitable for all abilities and gestations. She also led lovely relaxation and meditation within the sessions to allow you to connect to your baby and relax. I would highly recommend practicing yoga with Stefania!

Pregnancy yoga

I thoroughly enjoyed practising pregnancy yoga with Stefania, from the very early weeks of my pregnancy until my very final weeks before I had my baby, I looked forward to going every week, meeting other mamas to be and getting to move  my body, whilst feeling relaxed and connecting to my baby the entire time.

As I hadn't done yoga for a long time, at first I was apprehensive but my mind was put at ease by Stefania.

Stefania creates a wonderful environment to practice in, making you feel safe, comfortable and relaxed, always putting you and pregnancy needs first.

The relaxation at the end of the practice is on another level so so good, as someone who finds it hard to switch off, it was exactly what I needed every week.

I miss going to the class, I honestly enjoyed it so much and got so much out of it, I believe it helped me massively with my C section recovery.

I would highly recommend Stefania's yoga classes to any mama to be.

Postpartum support

"If you're looking for a postpartum doula who is kind and calming, who will listen with great attention and who can produce food to warm your soul, nourish you from within and rebuild your strength, you need to look no further than Stefania.

She came to look after us a couple of times a week when we had our second baby and our fridge was always overflowing with the most delicious food filled with love, the house sorted and me feeling cared for and loved.

The offering of the Closing the Bones ceremony included in the sessions meant I did it twice and wish I had done it more. It was freeing and nourishing and always ended in the most restful nap while I knew my baby was happy with Stefania.

She is a wonderful person and I would recommend her to anyone."

Birth and postpartum support

"Stefania is a true angel, everyone deserves and needs the postpartum support she offers. It truly transformed my view on the postpartum period after dreading it second time around. I actually would do it all over again and pray Stefania would be available once more! She supported my homebirth and actually caught my daughter! Sitting with me for hours after the birth, it was the support I knew I would need, and her calm soothing presence was just golden.

Stefania's visits became a firm favourite with my son, playing with him, providing the most delicious home-cooked meals, helping me keep on top of the house and rest. Also, providing closing of the bones ceremony, which is a very special gift to receive, the space is held with such delicacy and care. When she enters your home, it is with such deep respect and wisdom to the role she is about to take on, I would recommend her to everyone I meet who wishes to experience a nourishing, gentle postpartum being cared for by one of the best"

Postpartum support

"It's not easy to let someone you hardly know into your life and home at the precious and vulnerable time of postpartum. Yet, Stefania made me feel comfortable, understood and taken care of from the very beginning and at every step. She is empathetic, a great listener and has a wealth of knowledge about birth, babies and breastfeeding. Having her around was reassuring and calming and it made me trust myself more. She offered emotional support, tidied our flat, offered support with breastfeeding and cooked the most delicious and nutritious meals for us. I recommended Stefania to all my friends - having a postpartum doula is the best gift you can give yourself and others in this special time.

I didn't know what closing the bones ritual was until I read about it on Stefania's website. She brought the rebozo fabrics and all other items for the ritual to my home and transformed our living room into a little sanctuary. There are so few rituals in our society that properly mark and celebrate the transition to motherhood and closing the bones does that. It was a really unique and moving experience and I would really reccomend it to anyone who is looking to process all the changes happening in our mind and body as we move from pregnancy, birth and into matrecence."

Postpartum support

"Stef seamlessly joined our family during the fourth trimester after the birth of our second child, bringing an incredibly calming, reassuring and respectful presence to our home.

It can be a vulnerable time to invite someone into your life, but during each visit Stef provided much- needed practical and emotional support in the most loving way. During each visit, Stef created the space and time for me to shower, spend some valuable one-on-one time with each of my children (while knowing the other child was being lovingly cared for and engaged with), offered breastfeeding support and also prepared us a delicious family meal to eat that evening.

Stef's support was invaluable and we really miss her, especially my three-year-old daughter, now our time together has come to an end."

Postpartum doula support

I would recommend Stefania (and have!) to anyone. She was truly invaluable to our family during the first two months of our daughter's life. She is warm, trustworthy, kind and intuitive.

She very quickly became an integral part of our home and helped guide us as we figured out our new life as first time parents. We initially had intended to seek her support for a short period but we quickly realised we wanted to continue working with her.

Our daughter loved spending time with her and we miss her already!

Closing the Bones

My Closing the Bones was deeply restorative and nourishing. It was the first time I had experienced the ceremony and Stefania made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout.

It felt like being in a safe, warm cocoon while being wrapped in the blankets.

It was the first time I had spent a few hours away from my baby since his birth and the ceremony was exactly what I needed to connect to myself.

I felt a release of physical and emotional tension and gratitude for the transition into motherhood.

Closing the Bones

Today I was beautifully and lovingly held and wrapped for my Closing the Bones.

It was incredibly grounding and nurturing to be held in ceremony to mark my transition into motherhood.

Stefania held me and the space with such care and heart. Everything was thought about and she was very intuitive about every need.

I'm feeling truly grateful for having had this ceremony and I truly believe everyone would benefit from it at times of transition.

Closing the Bones

What a treat! Finally, some alone time. Finally, I can focus on myself. Finally, allowing myself some self care which is all too important (and often forgotten about) during postpartum recovery.

I was 5 months postpartum and this was just what I needed. To honour the journey through labour, we all need a little tender loving care and recognition that birth takes it out of you. I definitely was left feeling like I had come out of the boxing ring with Mike Tyson after a posterior labour! I was physically and emotionally broken.

Stefania was warm and welcoming. I soon felt like I could fully relax in her presence. Stefania rocked, held, massaged and hugged me with long cotton shawls. The ritual was nurturing and relaxing. I felt my bones and body were back into place.

Postpartum doula session

I had a bone closing ceremony with Stefania a few weeks after my baby was born and I couldn't recommend her more as a practitioner and a postpartum doula.

She is gentle and her presence is calming and very caring. My session was deeply nourishing and went far deeper than I anticipated. Also, Stefania made the most nourishing bone broth, lactation cookies and gluten- free lasagna! I highly recommend her

Closing the Bones

I received Closing of the bones almost two years after giving birth to my second child. I didn't know what to expect or how it would affect me, but I felt drawn to it.

Stefania made me feel at ease, she is a very calming and reassuring presence.

The rocking was very relaxing and the womb massage triggered so many emotions. I could them all rising from my womb and travel up to my chest, my eyes filling with tears.

I have never been able to touch my C- section scar without feeling pain but when Stefania massaged me, I didn't feel pain at all. I was processing trauma from both my births and Stefania held a safe space for me.

When I was wrapped in the rebozos, I was feeling both heavy and light at the same time.

It's been very special and I wish I knew about it before. I struggle to relax and let go and I know I would benefit from receiving this more than once!

Closing the bones

I found working with Stefania after my labour was hugely rewarding. The ceremony blended together both the physical and spiritual which was a healing experience for me.

Whilst my labour was an empowering experience, it was nonetheless an experience which needed honouring. I was grateful to have the closing of the bones ceremony and Stefania there to help me process it.

Closing the Bones

"If any new Mother out there would like to experience a closing of the bones ceremony, Stefania is facilitating this.

I experienced this and felt so wrapped up in her warmth and love.

I did not have too much after care when I had my son and I know that most Mamas don't either.

I can see how important and valuable this is for us as women, when transitioning into Motherhood.
We are shedding old parts of ourselves so that we can step into a different phase of life, one that can provide deep love and  nourishment to our new borns. This is huge and not enough women receive the care that they deserve to have. We all need to be wrapped up sometime in a warm hearted embrace and feel it in our bones."

We'd highly recommend her to all new mums"

Closing the Bones

"I experienced the most beautiful closing of the bones ceremony with Stefania. She held the space so gently and tenderly, and was very present with what she was doing at each stage. She clearly put a lot of loving thought and preparation in beforehand and found a touching poem that was so appropriate to my situation. I would highly recommend Stefania for a deeply nourishing and heartfelt ceremony to mark a life transition, whether it be that of becoming a mother or something else. Afterwards, I felt so loved, nurtured and cared for. Heartfelt gratitude to you, Stefania"
