- Pregnancy Massage
Massage during pregnancy can help you adjust to the dramatic changes you are experiencing as you prepare for childbirth. It is safe from 13 weeks of pregnancy right until labour and it is usually undertaken with you in the side- lying position, or semi- reclining, with special pillows and props to make you feel comfortable and supported. Regular pregnancy massage—also known as prenatal massage—offers many well- documented benefits for both the body and mind during pregnancy, as well as calmer, shorter and less intervened birth experiences. Here are some of the key benefits: 🌿 Physical Benefits: - Reduces muscle tension and pain: Especially in the lower back, hips, and legs, which take on extra strain during pregnancy. - Improves circulation: Helps increase blood flow, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to both mom and baby. - Reduces swelling (oedema): Encourages lymphatic drainage, which can ease puffiness in the feet, ankles, and hands. - Relieves sciatica and nerve pain: Helps alleviate pressure on nerves caused by the growing uterus. - Supports better posture: Eases strain on postural muscles that are adjusting to your changing body. 🧘 Mental & Emotional Benefits: - Reduces stress and anxiety: Soothing massage promotes the release of serotonin and dopamine—your feel-good hormones. - Improves sleep: Deep relaxation can help improve sleep quality, which is often disrupted during pregnancy. - Encourages mindfulness and connection: Can help you feel more present and connected with your baby. 💆 Bonus: - Many women say they leave their sessions feeling lighter, more balanced, and better able to cope with the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy. Are you ready to experience the perfect combination of nurturing and care?
